Emergency First Aid at Work Course

This comprehensive Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to provide participants with essential life-saving skills and knowledge. The course spans over 7 hours (6 hours training) and is priced at £60. Upon completion, attendees will be equipped to handle various workplace emergencies with confidence and competence.

Course Content


The course is divided into several key modules, each focusing on critical aspects of emergency first aid:

  • Understanding the importance of first aid

  • Legal responsibilities of a first aider

  • Assessing the situation and ensuring safety

Managing Unresponsive Casualties 


  • Recovery position

  • Dealing with shock handling spinal injuries

  • Primary survey (DRCABC - Danger, Response, Cat Bleeds, Airway, Breathing, and Circulation)

  • Secondary Survey (SAMPLE report, Top 2 Toe)

Basic Life Support 


  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) techniques for adults

  • Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

  • Types of wounds and bleeding

  • Applying pressure and dressings

  • Management of severe bleeding inc’ Torniquet

Burns and Scalds 


  • Recognising different types of burns

  • Treating minor and major burns

  • Preventative measures

Certification


Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a qualification certificate valid for three years. This certification demonstrates their ability to perform emergency first aid in the workplace and is accredited to a level 3 qualification.
